🔥 SCARS AND BLACKHOLES 2 🔥

This isn’t just an album—it’s a journey through the sounds, emotions, struggles, victories, and imagination that come from living through real life.

On Sunday, September 13th, 2026, MATTAPAN DEE returns with SCARS AND BLACKHOLES 2, featuring brand-new instrumentals known as “BLACKHOLES.” Every beat is created and produced by MATTAPAN DEE, bringing raw energy, dark atmospheres, heavy drums, deep melodies, and cinematic soundscapes together into one powerful experience.

BLACKHOLES represents the spaces we sometimes get lost in—the thoughts, struggles, uncertainty, pain, and silence—but also the places where creativity can be born.

No shortcuts. No borrowed vision. Just original production, imagination, and years of experience translated into sound.

BEATS AND SCARS Instrumental Beat Tape Series Produced by Mattapan Dee

“Beats and Scars” isn’t just a beat tape—it’s a timeline.

This long-running instrumental series documents the wins, the losses, the late nights, the healing, and the damage that comes with chasing purpose. Every volume represents a different chapter: moments when the music carried the weight because words couldn’t.

The beats are the soundtracks—gritty hip-hop, soulful R&B, experimental moods, dark gospel energy, and raw street emotion. The scars are real—earned through life, struggle, love, mistakes, growth, and survival.

Each tape in the Beats and Scars line is crafted to feel cinematic and personal. Some tracks knock hard. Some breathe slow. Some feel like reflection at 3AM when the city finally shuts up. But all of them come from lived experience, not trends.

This series is built for:

Artists looking for emotion, not just drums

Creators needing music that already tells a story

Late-night writers, thinkers, and builders

Anyone who understands that pain sharpens sound

Produced entirely by Mattapan Dee, Beats and Scars stands as proof that scars don’t weaken you—they texture you. They add depth. They give the music its soul.

This isn’t background noise. This is instrumental therapy. This is growth in BPM. This is Beats and Scars.
